Maturity Growth

Women’s Fellowship

Sisters in the Spirit & Women In the Faith are designed to outreach to women at all levels.  The primary goal is to move from immature infancy to maturity through their monthly meeting, small groups and one-on-one accountability relationships.  Older women teaching the younger women what is good and acceptable, and morally for their growth.  We fellowship every 3rd Friday of the month to discuss, share, empower, and encourage one another. Our purpose is to develop conferences for growth.

Men’s Fellowship

This program is deeply committed to serve the whole man, emotionally and physically.  The attempt is to help men become leaders in their home, and community.  The importance of this outreach is to develop a mentoring program for fatherless boys.

"Who We Are"

SJO Ministries is a 501 (c)(3)  non-profit outreach ministry.   We devote our time giving back to others in need.  Teaching them how to break the bondage in their lives through knowledge and love.

Our goal is to help individuals and families to establish a healthy and safe environment for them and their families.

It became evident that the poor were getting poorer, due to lack of knowledge in finances and other areas of every day life.  Therefore, we took our expertise, talents and put them together to work in the communities.

We soon realized that it was going to take more than a quick fix to the problem…there had to be a solution.  Therefore, we partnered with USDA Rural Development, HUD, and Fannie Mae to share the variety of housing programs throughout the different communities.

In December 2001, SJOM publicly announced the operational of the Outreach Ministries, where all of the needs for individuals and families would be met, through knowledge, counseling, love and action.

We are an organization with a heart for people!

"What We Offer"

Outreach Services

SJOM has tangibly affected the community through its outreach programs. We provide food, clothing and help assist in finding shelter.

Homeownership Education

We are presently registered with USDA Rural Development, HUD and Fannie Mae to help assist in housings for the homeless and disadvantage families.

We offer counseling and assistance for families with credit problems.  We help them break the chains of bondage with knowledge on how to repair their damaged credit history.  We assist them in finding the right financial solutions to help them purchase a home.

Counseling Center

Gateway To A Better Life Foundation is to assist the body and the community in emotional and spiritual growth, staff and other trained and clinical counselors  to provide moral and healthy counseling.

We provide individual, family and group counseling in several areas: premarital, marriage, grief recovery, co-dependency, drug addictions, anger management, and other relationship issues.

Missionary Outreach

The purpose of the missionary program is to encourage SJOM members to take the message of the gospel to the lost.  Our missionary outreach includes personal witnessing, community outreach opportunities and weekly ministry to state and federal prisons in New Jersey.

"Lifestyle Enhancement"

Ablaze Youth Groups

SJOM’s Youth Outreach program has established a warm, energetic environment where learning is challenging and fun for the youth of all ages!  Good behavior is encouraged and taught during all activities as the youths receive a planned course of study and activities. It is designed to outreach to the physical emotional, relational and health dimensions of life.  Our Youth attend Annual Mission Trips for growth and experience.

Assist with Social Security

Those who are involved in this program are Para-Legal or Legal Assistants who have a strong desire to help those who need help with completing their paper work and to help apply online for Social Security Benefits.

Assist Returning Troops from Iraqi

Those involved in this program are ex-military men and women who know what it’s like to be in a hostile environment and returning home.  Information is passed out concerning their eligibility for Benefits and how to deal with the Veteran’s Administration for treatment and claims.

Marriage and Family Counseling

Those who are involved in this program aim first to reconcile the family.  This has been very successful, because a trained marriage/family counselor joins the entire family together to express their thoughts in a control environment.

*Credit Counseling is available.   Foreclosure remedies are available
